My friend Emily gave me the cute Labrador Mug, so if you have pets, give em a shout out below! My dog Chazz is hyper, sweet and we call him the Culinary Puppy. He WILL NOT eat popcorn without butter, he waits for you to season it up and then he's ready! Haha

Crispy Fried Zucchini
- 3 medium zucchini's, sliced into strips
- 1 bag Three cheese croutons
- 1 cup plain bread crumbs
- 1 cup flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 cup buttermilk,(1 cup milk, 2 tbl. vinegar or lemon juice)
- splash of hot sauce
- Hot Oil for frying
Make a dredge line up. Flour, Buttermilk(add in a splash of hot sauce to buttermilk), then Breadcrumbs.
Take each strip, dredge well in flour, then dip in buttermilk, and coat with the breadcrumbs.
Fry in hot oil for 2 minutes perside or until golden and crispy. Remove and place on paper towels.
Enjoy with your favorite marinara and ranch sauce!!

I have a zucchini AND yellow squash calling to me from the crisper drawer right now, now! Thanks! So excited to make these. I too, just figured out the flour before the wash then the crumb coating secret on gardein chicken nuggets I make (I'm vegan). Changes everything! Also- if breading still comes off ever, someone told me to let the coating sit on the food for a while before frying. It "seals" it on there. These look super yummy! Reminds me of one time my pizza loving, hot dog eating son actually tried zucchini, he still doesn't believe me.
I make similar crispy fries with plantain and potatoes .. never thought of zucchini! Will try with that too :)
